International Star Jamie Cullum performs at Balaia Golf Village

On the occasion of the ALLGARVE 2010 summer program, Balaia Golf Village welcomed English pop and jazz-pop singer-songwriter Jamie Cullum, who performed live at the Balaia Golf Driving Range on August 22nd 2010, to an audience of 3.500 people.

Jamie met Balaia Golf staff at the Golf Reception at kindly signed us an autograph with a special dedication to everybody at the Golf Shop!

The concert was just great, as Jamie Cullum was brilliant on the piano and vocals, supported by his band! Huge performance!

May 19th, 2010: Under-21 Netherlands football team visits Balaia Golf Village

The Dutch Under-21 football team at the Balaia Golf Village Driving Range!

On the week that Balaia organized the 3rd edition of the Dutch Darwin Cup Golf Society, Balaia also welcomed the youth Under-21 Netherlands football squad on the Driving Range for a golf lesson with Balaia resident Golf PRO Pedro Lemos!

July 18th, 2009: Balaia Junior Golf Clinics

 

Hello Balaia friends!

Every summer in the months of July and August, Balaia presents special Junior Golf Clinics, supervised by Balaia resident PGA Golf Professional Pedro Lemos, every wednesdays and saturdays, from 10h00 a.m. to 12h00 p.m.  

 

A very nice opportunity for the kids, these Golf Clinics are open to all juniors, from 6 to 16 years of age.

These Junior Golf Clinics are limited to 15 entries each day, so you can book in advance in the Golf Reception personally or by phone.

Portuguese international football superstar Luís Figo visits Balaia Golf Village

Luís Figo, former Portuguese football right winger, Captain of the Portuguese National Squad, former Sporting Lisbon, FC Barcelona, Real Madrid and Inter Milan player, the 2000 European Footballer of the Year, the  2001 FIFA World Player of the year and named amongst the “FIFA 100”, for the 100 greatest living footballers, paid us a visit, and showed us he can swing a club on the Driving Range, while resident PGA Golf PRO Pedro Lemos was supervising  Balaia’s Junior Summer Golf Clinics!

Great personality, Figo was very open-hearted and never refused a smile, a photo or an autograph to his fans!

 

 

Little Oliver, along with mom Mandy, was delighted when he got a signed autograph from Luís Figo on his shirt and a photo in the Golf Reception with the Portuguese Superstar!

 

 

We also asked Figo for his autograph, and he kindly gave it to us, wishing all the best to his Balaia Golf friends!
