August 10th, 2011: Balaia Stars Week

The Balaia Stars Week was the second event at August 10th, 2011, after the Junior Cup played in the morning of the same day!

For the Stars Week competition, players would both be playing for individual prizes and also for team pair prizes, the “Family Team” and the “Non Family Team” groups!

 

On the individual category, Valerie Hale won the Best Net Overall prize of this afternoon’s competition, on the Members side!

and junior David McCarthy won the Best Net Overall prize on the Visitors side!

For the Team prizes, it was Rui and Cecília Ferraz who won the Best Family Team prize!

and juniors Colin Browne and David McCarthy won the Best Non Family Team prize!

Henry Galligan won the Nearest to the Pin prize for the Stars Week event!

and Johnny Hooper got the Birdie Chance prize!

As the prizes for both Junior Cup and Balaia Stars Week Competitions were presented in the afternoon, a huge crowd was present at the Club House!

 

 

 

It all went brilliant, all players enjoyed, the kids had lots of fun, and it was a great day at Balaia Golf!

August 10th, 2011: Balaia Junior Cup

On August 10th, 2011 Balaia Golf organized 2 golf events! In the morning Balaia Golf held the Balaia Junior Cup, and Max Robinson was the hero of the day, winning the Best Net Overall prize! Max received his trophy from his Golf teacher, Balaia’s resident Golf PRO Pedro Lemos! Well done, Max!!

Charlie Galligan won the Best Net “up to 8 years” prize of the Junior Cup, and got his award from Balaia C.E.O. Engº Rui Justo!

David McCarthy won the Best Net “9 to 12 years” prize and also received his trophy from Engº Justo and Balaia Golf Manager Maria J. Pinto.

Henry Galligan got the Best Net “over 13 years” prize and joined Golf PRO Pedro Lemos for a photo!

David Albinus won the 2nd Net “up to 8 years” prize and also took a picture with Pedro!

Louis Dear won the 2nd Net “9 to 12 years” prize and received his prize with delight!

Colin Browne won the 2nd Net “over 13 years” prize, and also took the Nearest to the Pin prize home! Congratulations, Colin!
