Michael Sum started the year with a win, taking the Best Net Overall prize in catg. 1, and dropping his handicap to 6! Well done, Michael!

Pat Gamalatge won the Best Net Overall prize in catg. 2 and joined Balaia’s Golf PRO Pedro Lemos to receive her prize!

Silvério Ferreira got the Best Net Overall on the third catg., and also joined Pedro to collect his prize!

.

.

William Cogan took the prize for Best Net Overall on the visitors side, and also won the Birdie Chance prize too! Good reason to be happy!

.

and Peter Hopkins won the Nearest to the Pin of today’s Competition! Congrats!

.

Just before the competition, Balaia Golf Manager Maria José Pinto met all the golfers outside for a welcome speech to the Balaia Golf 2012 events, and everybody celebrated the New Year with a glass of champagne!

after handing out all the scorecards to the players, Maria José joined the group and also played in the Competition!

On the same day of the Nisse Trophy, Balaia Golf organized a very special competition between the regular golfers and the Balaia staff, in a pairs format!

While some of the Balaia staff went out, playing the competition, the rest of the crowd was having fun watching their colleagues trying to do the best they could on the course!

By the end of the tournaments, Balaia Golf Village C.E.O., Engº Rui Justo, presented the award to the Best Nisse winner from the 2 holes competition, and also said a few words, praising the organization of this event!

.

and so Marcus Cheng was the winner of the Nisse trophy on the Balaia Staff side!

Marcus played with Eileen Farren, and both were crowned as the best team on the 2 holes pairs Competition!

Sr. Roberto Bachmann ended the ceremony with a final speech, stating he was very proud on how Balaia has developed along the years and about the good relation that has been created amongst all the Balaia staff, and owners, guests and friends of Balaia. All in all, this day was a great success!
